When Alpinestars MotoGP riders are involved in an accident or their race suit is damaged, it is returned to the Alpinestars R&D facility in Asolo, Italy. The suits are thoroughly analyzed and assessed, and then—depending on the extent of the damage—either repaired or archived. This procedure demonstrates Alpinestars' unwavering commitment to athlete safety and performance. The Lowside Cap is a symbolic nod to this commitment. Each of these classic 5-panel cotton caps features a large Astar logo, cut from recycled, race-used MotoGP suit leather, collected by Alpinestars race technicians. The logo is sewn onto the left side of each cap.
